Anyone can put mud in a hole. The hard part of drywall is making the repair disappear — matching a texture somebody else sprayed years ago, in a room with its own light, so your eye slides right past it. That is the part we are known for, and it is the reason “expert texture matching” is printed on our door hangers.

What we repair

Holes — doorknobs, furniture, accidents, and the mystery ones behind where the couch used to be.
Settling cracks — especially the ones running diagonally from door and window corners.
Nail pops and bead lines — the round bumps and crescent cracks that show up as framing dries out.
Water damage — cut out, replaced, textured and painted, once the leak itself is fixed.
Failed tape — seams that have let go and keep reappearing no matter how many times they are skimmed.
Whole walls and ceilings — hung, taped and finished for additions, garages, remodels and build-outs.

How a texture match is actually done

This is the process that makes a patch vanish instead of announce itself:

Identify the textureOrange peel, knockdown, skip trowel, or a hand texture unique to whoever built the house. They are not interchangeable, and using the wrong one is why most patches show.
Repair the substrate properlyCut back to sound material, back the hole, and tape the joint. A texture match over a weak repair just cracks again in the same place.
Match the spray or trowel patternNozzle, air pressure, mud consistency and knockdown timing all change the result. We test on a board first, next to your wall, in your light.
Feather the edgesBlending outward so there is no ridge where new meets old. This is where most repairs are given away.
Prime and paintNew mud drinks paint differently than the wall around it, so a patch that is not primed will flash a different sheen even in a perfect color match.

Texture, then paint, in one visit. A texture match only fully disappears under paint blended to the surrounding wall. We do both — so you are not coordinating two trades over one hole in the drywall.

Why do drywall cracks keep coming back?

Usually one of three things: normal settling, seasonal temperature and humidity swings working the joints, or tape that has let go. A skim-and-paint hides them for a season; a proper repair addresses the joint or tape underneath so the fix holds.

Can you really match my existing texture?

That's the specialty. Orange peel, knockdown, skip trowel, hand textures — matching what's already on your wall so the repair disappears is the difference between a patch you stare at and a patch you forget.

Do you repair water-damaged drywall?

Yes — once the leak is fixed. Stop the water first, then we cut out the damage, replace, texture-match and paint. If you still need the leak handled in the quad-cities, we're glad to point you to a licensed local plumber like Aqua Cat Plumbing.
